Spirit of Truth

The "spirit of truth" is mentioned four times by John in the Bible, three are describing the One called the "Comforter" which is said to be the "Holy Spirit" or "Holy Ghost", By understanding that the "holy spirit" is a messenger for the "spirit of truth", then this would be the way God clarifies His messages of truth, "But when that One comes, the Spirit of truth, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak from Himself, but whatever He hears, He will speak; and He will announce the coming things to you." (John 16:13). Capitalizing the "S" in spirit and the "H" in the five "he" in this verse is to promote "Spirit" as a name, plus "He" as a separate divine being, thereby directing one to believe it to be a third person of a triune god, but this is by the authority of man. However, "And when the Comforter comes, whom I will send to you from the Father, the Spirit of truth who proceeds from the Father, that one will witness concerning Me." (John 15:26), this verse identifies the "spirit of truth" as originating from the Father, and the KJV also supports this. In verse 16:13 Strong's #3594 hodegeo to show the way, lead guide "He" was added but not part of #3594, but implied in the Greek that it can also be rendered as "it", which is more accurate since the "spirit of truth proceeds from the Father". As you read further, you will realize that I do not support the concept of a triune god within Christianity, which most Christian's call the "Trinity". I cannot give any Biblical support that a Trinity does not exist, because there is nothing in God's word that describes or implies a triune god. Every description of Almighty God promotes Him as being only one, and "Jehovah" is His personal name, "Hear, O Israel, Jehovah our God is one Jehovah." (Deuteronomy 6:4). This simple and direct verse, not only states that God is only one, but also that there is only one with the name "Jehovah". One must go outside of God's word to find a triune god, and there were several, starting with the gods of Babylon, and all other triune gods were pagan gods, check this with the history books.

Believing in a separate person being named the "Holy Spirit" should be a concern for every Christian, because this concept did not come from Jehovah God. Logically there would be no need for a separate spirit person, because Jehovah, the Father has a spirit within Himself, "And the Spirit of Jehovah has spoken by me and His word is on my tongue." (II Samuel 23:2), "And the Spirit of Jehovah shall rest on him, he will have the spirit of wisdom." (Isaiah 11:2) and,  “The Spirit of the Lord Jehovah is on Me, because Jehovah has anointed Me to preach the gospel to the meek. He has sent Me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to captives, and complete opening to the bound ones. (Isaiah 61:1). It is also said that Almighty God is a spirit, "God is a spirit, and the ones worshiping Him must worship Him in spirit and truth." (John 4:24). If God is a spirit, wouldn't that indicate that all three of this triune god are a spirit, since it doesn't designate any one of the three? The Trinity doctrine certainly is a mystery. We must understand that Christ, being the Son of God, and just as His Father, He would also have a spirit within Him, "But you are not in flesh, but in Spirit, since the Spirit of God dwells in you. But if anyone has not the Spirit of Christ, this one is not His." (Romans 8:9) and, “For I know that this will result in salvation to me through your petition, and supply the Spirit of Jesus Christ.” (Philippians 1:19). The only need for an additional separate spirit as part of the Godhead would be, if both Jehovah and Christ's spirit were insufficient for Their needs, but we all should know that this cannot be. The capitalization of "Spirit" in many of these Bible verses is the work and decisions of men, the translator of this Bible version and most others.

As to God's truth, "Into Your hand I commit my spirit; You have redeemed me O Jehovah, God of truth." (Psalm 31:5),  "With His feathers He will cover you, and under His wings you shall seek refuge; His truth is a shield and buckler." (Psalm 91:4), "for His mercy is mighty over us, and the truth of Jehovah is forever." (Psalm 117:2) and, "The sum of Your word is true; every one of Your righteous judgments endures forever." (Psalm 119:160). There are no variations to Jehovah's truth, which is also His Son's truth, They are in complete alignment in every aspect, both being perfect. "As for God, His way is perfect; the word of Jehovah is tested; He is a shield to those who trust in Him." (II Samuel 22:31). The perfect Father can only bring forth a perfect Son, Christ being God's only-begotten Son, "No one has seen God at any time; the only-begotten Son, who is in the bosom of the Father, He reveals Him." (John 1:18). "Jehovah possessed Me in the beginning of His way from then before His works. (Proverbs 8:22), words from Jehovah's Son and our Christ in the Old Testament. Jehovah the Father, being our Creator, "These are the births of the heavens and of the earth when they were created in the day that Jehovah was making the earth and the heavens." (Genesis 2:4), the originator of truth, all truth, and we all live within His divine truth.

Truth is what man must depend on from God Almighty and His truth is the rock that we stand on with confidence, "For the word of Jehovah is right, and all His works are in truth." (Psalm 33:4), "Teach Me your way, O Jehovah; I will walk in Your truth; unite my heart to fear Your name." (Psalm 86:11). Absolute truth was manifested when Jehovah created the heavens and the earth. This is our reality, even if we don't accept His truth. The "spirit of truth" is Jehovah, God Almighty, by His creation of all things. "before Jehovah; for He comes; for He comes to judge the earth; He shall judge the world with righteousness, and the people with His truth." (Psalm 96:13). We can ignore His truths, but His truths are a reality, stable and unavoidable, if we learn and come to understand His truth, they will be a joy in ones existence; they will set you free from the bonds of sin and will release your spirit to cherish Jehovah's salvation, made possible by the blood of God's Son. How can anyone consider ignoring such an offer? His truth is for us to embrace, "Into Your hand I commit my spirit; You have redeemed me, O Jehovah, God of truth." (Psalm 31:5), and Jehovah is waiting for each one of us to live out this verse. The "spirit of truth" is simply God Jehovah sharing the truth that He designed into His creation, for us and the world, which we live in.
