Seed of Error
The Christian community is well aware of the errors that plague the rest of
the world, but are they in touch with the errors that plague the Christian community
as well? Human nature, in its sinful state, comforts us to avoid our own disregard
for God's instructions because man's errors may be well planted, nourished and firmly
established, and of course, there is more then a few plants in Satan's garden of
lies, and his worker bees that nourish these seeds are the members of mankind, which
includes many Christians. Man, by his own accord are the ones who allow Satan to
deceive Christians with incorrect doctrine and beliefs that are Biblical, by our
own efforts in ignoring what is consistent in all of God's word; we give him the
authority to use us, and the ill-
Verse on testing God's word:
"So says Jehovah, Cursed is the man who trust in man, and who makes flesh his arm, and who turns aside his heart from Jehovah." (Jeremiah 17:5)
Error cannot be from God's word, according to the original Hebrew text of the Old Testament and the original text of the New Testaments, what ever the original text was, not all was Greek, it could even be that none of the New Testament was originally written in Greek, since all the New Testament Bible writers spoke Hebrew, all being Jewish, and all apostils were directed to address the Jew first, only Paul was directed to nourish the nations, by Christ's request. What reason would they have for writing in Greek? Was Greek a commonly spoken language in any of the Hebrew nations? Is it known who chose to translate the New Testament into Greek? Greek is commonly known as a "dead language" and considered most difficult to learn, the saying, "It's Greek to me." was often used when someone didn't understand what was read.
Unfortunately, translations of God's perfect word into other languages can and do contain error, with the many translations of God's word into every language, and caution needs to be applied when reading the words of men. Translations from the originals, requires most every word to be evaluated, causing man to make a decision for each Hebrew and Greek word used. Every original language word usually has a variety of English (or whatever language) words available that expresses the meaning as to the writer's intention. Errors can easily occur because the exact intention of the writer may not be clear, so it is left up to the translator to make a choice, and this is where mistakes can occur. Unintentional errors can also be made, but even worst, from a prior understanding or someone's agenda that the translator may have according to their personal belief or history, a preconceived understanding may adjust his translation decisions. The choices for each word can be from one to thirty possibilities, compounding the difficulty in making the correct choice according to the author, being Jehovah's intended meaning.
I understand and believe that man doesn't plant error by his own intention, but by avoiding confirming everything with what would be consistent with all of God's word, error can occur. This should be the serious concern of the theologians that study God's word, but as you can clearly see, most theologians do not agree with each other. Every Christian denomination has their set of doctrine and all have slight or more then slight variations from the other, but all basically using the same Bible or versions of God's word. There are over two thousand established Christian denominations all claiming to be based on Bible truth, and believe to be pure in their established doctrine, causing us to make a choice as to which church is purer, according to their presented doctrine of beliefs.
What are these thriving plants of error from Satan that contaminates much of the Christian community, which have become stable traditions because of the many years the congregations have accepting the teachings, without confirming their doctrines and beliefs with God's original words. Satan uses man, but the main seed of error is man himself, who trust in the words of other men instead of testing everything with God's consistent word, and without correct knowledge, teach what is contrary to God's word and His way, not seeking Jehovah in spirit and truth with all their heart, "The humble who seek God, your heart shall live." (Psalm 69:32), "Blessed are those keeping His testimonies, who seek Him with their whole heart." (Psalm 119:2) and, "But without faith it is impossible to please God. For it is right that the one drawing near to God should believe that He is and that He becomes a rewarder to the ones seeking Him out." (Hebrew 11:6), and foolishly accepting the words of other men, Our future existence depends on the condition of our heart, "Blessed are those keeping His testimonies, who seek Him with their whole heart." (Psalm 119:2), this is what God looks at in judgment.
I am going to attempt to share some beliefs that I have found to be contrary with the collection of all of God's word, with some supporting verses, all taken from the J. P. Green Interlinear Bible, which contains both the Hebrew and the Greek text. It is very important that you conduct your own study using as close as possible to the original of God's word, to confirm the truth for yourself.
List of Errors
1. The first accepted deception, being most obvious and easiest to prove is the keeping of Sunday worship, instead of obeying the Biblically documented Fourth Commandment of God, the seventh day Sabbath. God's day of rest, established at creation and sanctified by Jehovah God, "And God blessed the seventh day and sanctified it, because He rested from all His work on it which God had created to make." (Genesis 2:3), because He rested from His creation of the earth and the heavens, which are strictly for man's benefit. This Sabbath is again confirmed by an example, when He blessed the Israelites in the wilderness with food from Heaven, called "manna", "You shall gather it (manna) six days and on the seventh, a sabbath, in it none shall be found." (Exodus 16:26), and further confirmed His day of rest in the Fourth Commandment, "for in six days Jehovah made the heavens and the earth, the sea and all which is in them and He rested on the seventh day; on account of this, Jehovah blessed the sabbath day and sanctified it." (Exodus 20:11), and again later confirmed by many of His prophets, "And the sons of the alien who join themselves on Jehovah to serve Him, and to love Jehovah's name, to be His servants, everyone who keeps from defiling the sabbath and takes hold of My covenant." (Isaiah 56:6). The Sabbath is further confirmed in the New Testament, "For the Son of man is also the Lord of the sabbath." (Matthew 12:8) and "And returning they prepared spices and ointment. And they remained quiet on the sabbath, according to the commandment." (Luke 23:56). Jehovah also rested on the Sabbath from raising His Son Jesus from the grave, raising Him on Sunday, the first day of the week. Sunday is never mentioned as a sanctified day of rest, instead a work day. Sunday is the day most pagan religions worship their gods, originated from man's agenda in worshiping the sun. I must point out that keeping Sunday, as a day to worship is not a sin, one can and should worship God every day, but not keeping the Sabbath day as presented in God's word is a sin, according to God's word. The seeds of error are the thoughts, desires and the words of man and most important, man's foolish decision to listen to other men, instead of Jehovah's instructions, found in purity, only in God Jehovah's word, the original text.
2. The second error that is an established tradition from the words of men
within the Christian world is the doctrine of the Trinity, a god of three persons,
taught as a mystery of one god, and this triune god is described in several ways,
depending on the denomination, which in itself, reveals a falseness, because men
have taken it upon themselves to describe it as they desire it to be understood.
As to the Biblical description of the Almighty God, from Genesis to Revelation, God
is only one, "Hear, O Israel, Jehovah our God is one Jehovah." (Deuteronomy 6:4)
with only one with the name of "Jehovah". This one verse is straight to the point
and direct, with the addition of declaring God's personal name, indicating that the
office of the living God Almighty is not shared with another, only one can possess
the supreme and sovereign authority. The First Commandment also makes it clear, "I
am Jehovah your God, who has brought you out of the land of Egypt, from the house
of bondage. You shall not have any other gods beside Me." (Exodus 20:2,3) and "And
let them know, Your name is Jehovah, that You alone are the Most High over all the
earth." (Psalm 83:18) and the prophets confirmed this, "Turn to Me and be saved,
all the ends of the earth; for I am God, and there is no other." (Isaiah 45:22),
remembing that His Christ (Messiah) had not yet been sent to establish His Father
's salvation. The same description of God continued in the New Testament, "And the
one swearing by Heaven swears by the throne of God and by the One sitting on it."
(Matthew 23:22) and from the words of Jesus, "And answering to him, Jesus said, Get
behind Me Satan! For it has been written: You shall worship the Lord your God, and
Him only you shall serve." (Luke 4:8). "And they cry with a great voice, saying,
Salvation to our God sitting on the throne, and to the Lamb." (Revelation 7:10),
this verse expresses a separation between the One sitting on the throne of God and
the One who has established His God's salvation. "For God is one, also there is one
Mediator of God and of man, the man Jesus Christ." (I Timothy 2:5), again a separation
between God and the Son, who is the Mediator, and this clearly separates the Father
and the Son's Godly positions, both are divine, but only one is stated as "God Almighty",
possessing supreme authority over everything and everyone, and this is consistent
throughout the Bible, as one will understand if all of God's words are read and digested.
As to the "Holy Spirit", listed in the false Trinity doctrine as the third person:
in Biblical truth, the spirit of God Jehovah and the spirit of the Son of God are
part of each of Them, both have a spirit that is holy. “And the Spirit of Jehovah
has spoken by me and His word is on my tongue.” (II Samuel 23:2) and, “For I know
that this will result in salvation to me through your petition, and supply the Spirit
of Jesus Christ.” (Philippians 1:19). The spirit of God and the spirit of Christ
is not separate spirit apart from each of Them, nor would there be a need or a reason
for an additional third divine person, a separate spirit member of a triune god or
of the Godhead. God also gave to us a spirit, although our individual spirit is controlled
by our limited power. This so-
3. The third error is the transgression of the Third Commandment, "You shall not take the name of Jehovah your God in vain; for Jehovah will not leave unpunished the one who takes His name in vain." (Exodus 20:7). The original Hebrew text uses: Strong's #3068 "Yehovah" in this command, but most Bibles use "Lord" as the translation. "Lord" is "adown" Strong's #113 "Lord" a title and they are not interchangeable. Taking God's personal name out and substituting it with a title, even though it is a title He deserves, it is disrespectful to God, and a vain regard for "Jehovah" making God's personal name of no value by taking it out of the minds of God's people, when reading the various incorrect translations. Not only has His name been replaced in the third of the Ten Commandment, also seven other times in His Ten Commandments. Adding to these few errors, His name is also replaces 6734 other times in the Old Testament. This could not be a casual human error but a conscious act by the host of translators (and their employers). However, the name "Jehovah" is present in the King James Version Bible four times, which confirms that it wasn't an oversight but a deliberate act. This transgression must have taken place after Christ's first advent, because Jesus read from the scrolls in the temple and quoted Old Testament scripture, but He never mention any change from His inspiration to the various Old Testament Bible writes. Who would be guilty of these many sins? I can't answer this, however, most Bible translations display these many substitutes of God's personal name. This indicates that the belief in a triune god may have an influence, as the motive for the multitude of errors. Is this error the sole responsibility of the translators, or do we accept some guilt by leaving alone it as a known error? Satan's seeds of error are displayed by the thoughts and words of man, over Jehovah's pure words and our continual decision to rely on Satan's influence above God's word; this is apparent, and the seeds of error increase and flourish undetected or ignored by many, including our respected pastors and theologians. Is it man's arrogance of relying on himself or laziness in searching all of God's word for His truth?
4. Yet another of man's error that has saturates the Christian community, is
that those who die, are either taken to the Lord in Heaven or some other place not
as pleasant, depending on one's denomination. According to God's word on the subject,
"His breath will go out; he returns to the earth; in that day his thoughts perish."
(Psalm 146:4), and, "All that your hands find to do, do with your strength. For there
is no work, or planning or knowledge or wisdom in Sheol, there where you go." (Ecclesiastes
9:10). Sheol translates as grave. "For the living shall know that they shall die;
but the dead do not know anything, nor do they have any more a reward; for their
memory is forgotten." (Ecclesiastes 9:5). For conformation of these few verses: if
the dead in Christ are in Heaven, who then is raised from the graves at Christ's
second advent? "because the Lord Himself shall come down from Heaven with a commanding
shout of an arch-
5. "Righteousness by Faith" is a common term used in the Christian world and many words in books and sermons are spent on this subject. It is a Biblical term, but there is more involved in this concept then is generally expressed. True, our righteousness is worthless in our own efforts and actions, but also, our faith is also useless, if not accompanied by works, which our faith should bring us to do, "But someone will say, You have faith, and I have works, Show me your faith apart from your works, and I will show you my faith from my works." (James 2:18), "But are you willing to know, O vain man, that faith apart from works is dead?" (James 2:20). James does a wonderful job of including all the elements of this subject, but generally, the subject "Righteousness By Faith" is taught as if faith is all that is needed and when God looks at each of us, He only sees the righteousness of His Son. This teaching indicates, without saying it directly (but I have heard it said directly), that what we do in this life is not counted to us, only our faith is viewed as important. This is a dangerous attitude to have, canceling our personal responsibility for following God's commands which is continually displayed in the Old Testament as most important, and also shown as needed in the New Testament, "Here is the patience of the saints, here are the ones keeping the commands of God, and the faith of Jesus." (Revelation 14:12), and this is confirmed when Christ called us to follow Him, who walked perfectly in His Father's laws. The kind of faith we are called to have is, "the faith of Jesus". Jesus performed all His miracles by His faith in His Father, because at His first advent, His powers were limited to close of ours, for Him to become the "Lamb of God" for the purpose of dying for the sins of man, which He accomplished for His Father and for us, by the shedding of His blood. What is not represented correctly, is that our desire for faith should brings us to the learning of God's word and His way, and this will bring us to a clear understanding of His instructions, realizing that His way is perfect and supreme, then, this should bring us to a sincere desire to do God's will, which generates and strengthens our faith. Our righteousness can be similar to Christ's righteousness because He will give us the strength to accomplish our desires for righteousness, from our efforts, and God will see that we have taken on His Son's character, by doing as Christ did and committing oneself to performing our Father's will. Christ qualified Himself as the "Lamb of God" by walked perfectly in God's laws, by His faith in His Father, because Jesus possessed only human strength during His first advent, "but empting Himself, taking the form of a slave, having become in the likeness of man, and being found in fashion as a man, He humbles Himself, having become obedient until death, even the death of the cross." (Philippians 2:7,8) and "but we do see Jesus crowned with glory and honor, who on account of suffering of death was made a little less then the angels, so that by the grace of God He might taste of death for every son." (Hebrews 2:9). Jesus calls us to follow Him, "Then Jesus said to His disciples, If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and let him bear the cross, and let him follow Me." (Matthew 16:24). Man relying on Christ's personal righteousness is not following Jesus; Christ's desire is for our hearts to change, for us to desire to do righteousness, in preparation to share Jehovah's pure environment with our Father in God's kingdom. The seeds of error are again, the thoughts and words of man and our neglect in studying all of God's word, which can be our destruction. We need to know what is consistent throughout God's word so we can recognize the errors already in place and to prevent new errors from sneaking in as another Christian tradition, cuation, be rest assured that Satan will continue to exercise his influence.
6. Here is a more difficult error to expose: from beginning to end, the Creator
of the heavens and the earth is the Father, who is Jehovah, God Almighty, "These
are the births of the heavens and of the earth when they were created in the day
that Jehovah was making the earth and the heavens." (Genesis 2:4), "You alone are
He, O Jehovah; You have made the heavens and the heavens of the heavens, and all
their host; the earth and all which is on it; the seas and all that are in them;
and You shall preserve them all alive..." (Nehemiah 9:6) and "...Fear God and give
glory to Him, because the hour of His judgment has come; and worship Him who has
made the heavens and the earth and the sea and the fountains of water." (Revelation
14:7 a quote from Ex. 20:11). There is a large quantity of additional verses confirming
this fact, which are consistent throughout God's word. Christ, speaking in the Old
Testament confirms this, "Before the mountains were settled; before the hills, I
was brought forth; before He made the earth and the fields or the highest part of
the dust of the world. When He prepared the heavens, I was there, when He set a circle
on the face of the deep, when He gave the sea its limits, that the waters should
not go beyond His commands; when He decreed the foundation of the earth." (Proverbs
8:25-
Salvation is a most important part of God's word and His plan for man, plus
an important concern for the Christian in understanding what Christ accomplished
by dying a complete death just for our benefit, to free those resting in Him from
the second death, by Jesus supplying His own blood, which should be ours blood. This
is a most common knowledge in the Christian community, however, what has escaped
their understanding is that Christ was sent to earth, as a man, with just human strength
for this purpose, by His Father, God Almighty. Jehovah is the author and designer
of salvation, "I, I am Jehovah; and there is no Savior besides Me." (Isaiah 43:11),
"You shall also suck the milk of nations, and you shall suck the breast of kings.
And you shall know that I Jehovah; am your Savior and your Redeemer, the mighty One
of Jacob." (Isaiah 60:16) "Yet I am Jehovah, your God from the land of Egypt; and
you shall know no other gods then Me. For there is no Savior besides Me." (Hosea
13:4). And one from the New Testament, "not stealing, but showing all good faith,
that we may adorn the teaching of our Savior God in all things." (Titus 2:10), and,
"Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ according to the command of God our Savior, and
the Lord Jesus Christ, our hope." (I Timothy 1:1). I understand that this would appear
incorrect or confusing to most Christians, but there are some points you need to
consider to understand these Old Testament verses properly (and there are other verses):
at that point in time the Son of God was not yet revealed in person and had not yet
substituted His personal blood for our blood, therefore Jehovah, Almighty God was
the only Savior of the Israelites from Egypt and from a variety of other nation that
met them in battle. Christ at His first advent then became our Savior, for He was
sent to establish His Father's salvation for the world. Because of the price He paid
at Calvary, at that moment in time He became our Savior, also. We need to keep in
mind that Jesus, the Son of God, was sent by His Father for this main purpose, since
God cannot die, He needed a man that could be absolutely perfect in His human walk
for the purpose of qualifying Himself as the "Lamb of God" in order to die for the
forgiveness of mankind's sins. No man is capable of perfection, this left Jehovah
with only one viable possibility, to send His only-
Throughout the Bible we are called to seek God Jehovah, "Glory in His holy name; let the heart of those seeking Jehovah rejoice. Seek Jehovah and His strength, seek His face continually." (I Chronicles 16:10,11), "The meek shall eat and be satisfied; those who seek Jehovah shall praise Him; your heart shall live forever." (Psalm 22:26) "Let all those who seek You rejoice and be glad in You; and let those who love Your salvation forever say, Let God be magnified." (Psalm 70:4), "Seek Jehovah, all the meek of the earth who have done His justice; seek righteousness; seek meekness. It may be you shall be hidden in the day of the anger of Jehovah." (Zephaniah 2:3), and Christ confirms this, "Nothing I am able to do for Myself; just as I hear, I judge; and My judgment is just, for I do not seek My will, but the will of the One sending Me, the Father." (John 5:30) and, "the ones believing in God through Him, He raised Him from the dead, and giving glory to Him so that your faith and hope may be in God." (I Peter 1:21), Peter quotes Joel the prophet, "And it shall be that everyone who shall call on the name of the Lord will be saved." (Acts 2:21), quoted from, "For it shall be, all who call on the name of Jehovah shall be saved. For salvation shall be in Mount Zion, and in Jerusalem, as Jehovah has said, and among the saved whom Jehovah shall call." (Joel 2:32). As you can see, it is important for correct understanding, that reading God's name makes a difference, and the apostils understood this. Jesus, the Christ is not our destination, but the Way to the Father, (John 14:6), and Christ is hoping to lead us home, if we allow Him, but it is our decision to make. Following anyone else, other then Jesus will not find His way, and how do we follow Jesus? He gave us God's word, which His Father gave to Him, now called the Bible. Listening to a sermon or reading a book about the Bible isn't following Jesus, the closest we can get to the original is the closest to the truth, and the truth is what will set you free. "And you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free." (John 8:32), free from Satan's influence, sin and the second death.
All these errors, and there are more, are all from one source: It isn't the words of men that cause the error, but it would be from us, those who are relying on the words of men instead of the words of God, we are the seed of error. Christ gave us His Father's words, so we can prepare ourselves to be in the presence of deity, God Jehovah and our Lord Jesus. We must purify ourselves, just as the temple priests purified themselves before entering to serve in the temple, before the presence of God Jehovah. This is out task, as Jesus walked perfect according to God's just and perfect laws, we are to do the same, but with the strength that Christ is waiting to share with us, His strength, once we request His help in our efforts to walk as He walked. This, then we can do and void being the seed of error.
